Editorial Policy

Authorship
Every article on BloomWell is published under one collective byline: the BloomWell Editorial Team. The byline is a transparent pseudonym for the group that researches, writes, and edits this journal. We use it instead of inventing individual author personas that do not correspond to real people.
We state plainly what this byline does not claim. BloomWell articles are not reviewed by a named licensed clinician, and we do not display a medical reviewer credential we do not have. If that changes, this policy will change with it and the change will be dated here.
How we research
Articles start from a single reader question, not from a product. We look for the mechanism first: what is physically happening in the body, and what the published research actually says about it, including where that research is small, mixed, or inconclusive.
When we cite a claim to a source, we name the source in the text so you can go read it. Where the evidence supports only a modest effect, we say modest. Where a popular framing is not supported, we say so, even when the product we link to is sold on that framing.
How affiliate funding works here
BloomWell earns affiliate commissions. Articles contain affiliate links, and BloomWell may earn a commission at no cost to you when you buy through them. This is disclosed at the top of every article, before the first product link, and in the footer of every page.
Commission does not buy a conclusion. We do not accept payment to reach a specific verdict, to remove a limitation, or to omit a safety caveat. Because our incentive runs toward selling, we hold ourselves to describing the limit of a benefit in the same passage where we describe the benefit.
Health claims and medical boundaries
BloomWell publishes editorial and informational content. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it does not replace your own healthcare provider, who knows your history and your medications.
These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Products discussed are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Individual results may vary. Consult your healthcare provider before making changes to your diet or health routine.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact rather than quietly deleting them. When an article is corrected in a way that changes its meaning, we update the article and note what changed and when.
If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, write to us at bloomwell.editorial@gmail.com and we will look at it.
Updates to this policy
This policy is dated. When our editorial practice changes, including if we add named medical review or change how the journal is funded, we update this page and change the date rather than revising it silently.
